The Association of Thai Professionals in the European Region (ATPER) (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates this website to support our non-profit activities and services for members and interested parties. 1.1 Contact Forms & Email Inquiries
If you contact us via an online form or email, we collect your email address and any other details you provide.
Purpose: To respond to your inquiries and send updates regarding ATPER activities.

1.2 Media Uploads
If you upload images to our website, please avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download these images and potentially extract your location data.
1.3 Cookies

Comments: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These last for one year so you do not have to re-enter your details.
Login Session: If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
Authentication & Display: When you log in, we set cookies to save your login info (lasts two days) and screen display choices (lasts one year). Selecting “Remember Me” extends your login to two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.
Content Editing: If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie indicating the post ID of the article is saved. It contains no personal data and expires after one day.

2.1 Lawful Basis for Processing
We collect and process personal data exclusively for ATPER-related matters and non-profit purposes, in alignment with our mission to support Thai professionals and students in Europe.
2.2 Data Sharing Policy
No Commercial Sale: We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Official Partners: We may share member information submitted via our contact or membership forms with our main sponsor, The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) of Thailand, strictly for official, ATPER-related reporting and administrative purposes.
Spam Protection: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
3. Data Retention Periods
Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained for 5 years to help us recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
User Profiles: For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

5. Data Security & Breach Procedures
We employ dedicated data administrators to protect, secure, and monitor personal data. Access to data is restricted strictly to authorized administrators.
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach, our administrators will investigate, mitigate, and report the breach to the relevant authorities and affected individuals within 72 hours, in accordance with applicable GDPR regulations.
